About Poogy Bear

Hi there, my name is Stephanie Grant and I am the owner of Poogy Bear Infant Wear. I started Poogy Bear in 2010 out of a pure passion for baby clothes and design which has only grown with the additions of my two children. I am a mompreneuer who simply adores baby clothes! We live in Johannesburg, South Africa and design and manufacture all our goods from our own factory. Each member of my family has been involved in the evolution of Poogy Bear over time and it gives us all great pleasure to see happy little customers wearing our goodies.

The Name?

Poogy Bear is my childhood nickname and rest as they say, is history…

The Brand

Poogy Bear provides exclusive baby clothing and accessories to the discerning new parent. It is our aim to strike a balance between baby style and comfort so that your little one has the best of both worlds. Our look is soft and classic and we thrive on finding new designs and prints to introduce.

Materials

Our team is constantly searching for the highest quality fabrics and accessories. Poogy Bear baby clothes combine unique prints and pastel colours, whilst our blankets host traditional characters and natural fabrics. Using cotton is incredibly important to us as it is the best material to moderate baby’s body temperature which ensures the greatest comfort.

Made In South Africa

Poogy Bear products are made in South Africa from mainly local and some imported fabrics. We love that our product is proudly South African and that we are creating as many jobs along the way as we can.

Our Factory

We lovingly manufacture our own goods from our own factory. The amazing women who work for us display great skill and passion when manufacturing each garment. They have a lot of pride in their work and it is very exciting for us that we can empower them to support their families. We also encourage them during breaks or after work to make garments that they can use or sell for themselves using our facilities and fabric for extra income.

Donations

We try as often as possible to donate out of season stock to various charities in our mission to give back to the community.
